All magical attacks will have an element. The elements are as follows Magic attacks are allowed to do more damage for an extra MP cost
Base Magic Damage is 100, and can increase the cost by 5 MP for an extra 10 Damage (can be applyed more then once, as in you could have a 50 MP attack doing 180 DMG with no effects, or a 20 MP attack doing 120)
Non Earth Fire Elec Water Light Dark
Light and Dark magics are only available to characters with good and evil alignments respectivelly
All magic attacks can have an effect except those marked Non-elemental NOTE: adding an effect WILL add a +10 MP cost
Earth: Earthbind - Opponents will be unable to move between rows or use attacks that cause them to switch rows for 2 turns. Opponent cannot be earthbound again for 5 turns after Earthbind ends.
Fire: Burn- Opponent loses 50 HP for 3 turns Opponent cannot be burned again for 3 turns after Burn ends
Elec: Paralyze- Opponent cannot act at all next turn Opponent cannot be paralyzed for 5 turns after paralyze ends
Water: Soak- Opponent's attacks deal 50 less damage for 3 turns Opponent cannot be soaked for 2 turns after soak ends
Light: Blind- Opponent cannot dodge for two turns Opponent cannot be blinded for 4 turns after blind ends
Dark: Fear- Opponent loses one attack slot for 3 turns Opponent cannot be put into fear for 4 turns after fear ends

Just a note, if were adding a 10 MP cost for effects then as such shouldnt the attacks go for the increased 20 damage for 10MP:
100dmg 10MP no effect . . . . . . . . . . 80dmg 10MP effect 120dmg 20MP no effect . . . . . . . . . . 100dmg 20MP effect 140dmg 30MP no effect . . . . . . . . . . 120dmg 30MP effect 160dmg 40MP no effect . . . . . . . . . . 140dmg 40MP effect 180dmg 50MP no effect . . . . . . . . . . 160dmg 50MP effect
As opposed to removing 10dmg for adding an effect like we did with physical since magical is entirely different.
